Today at lunch was Carter's first (and not last) meltdown over food. I knew it would be a problem someday, but I was hoping not this soon. And I was hoping it would be over something like ice cream but it was over a tuna sandwich. He saw me eating and he wanted a bite. Even though he had his favorite chicken and carrots on his tray. He wanted my tuna fish sandwich and not even his own slice of milk free bread would compensate. It started out as whining, which gave way to crying, and then the wailing and gnashing of teeth began. It got ugly before it got better. Tears were shed: big, rolling tears. All over a Tuna fish sandwich. Luckily I finally found some food that was better than my sandwich and the crying stopped.
Here's to many more meltdowns. Stupid allergies.
On a happier note..............the best part of spring/summer is BABY CANKLES! I love Carter's fat little legs. He was born with the skinniest chicken legs I have ever seen but they have developed into nice, plump appendages.
