Random Pics

Is this not the cutest picture you've ever seen? Carter and his friend Duncan hugging goodbye after a successful play date. No timeouts, no hitting, just fun all around.

The reverse angle of the hug. Apparently it wasn't as good for Duncan as it was for Carter! But the death grip is nice.

Carter loves "helping" daddy shovel the snow in his big boy boots. I swear this boy never feels the cold. He hates coming in.

I've been meaning to enter Carter's picture into "Regis and Kelly's Beautiful Baby" contest. I need a recent picture, within the month. Of course we think he could win but when I sit him down for a photo shoot....this is what I get. We will never win with a picture like this! I do think he's beautiful but I also think $125,000 would be great.

These pics were taken a week apart but he is wearing the same outfit so it is confusing. Here is Carter's first Fat lip. And the way he loves to wrestle, I doubt it will be the last. This is what happens when you hold a sippy cup while wrestling with daddy. He looks homeless in this picture with Oreo crumbs under his lip and blood smeared on his cheek. I doubt Regis and Kelly would choose this picture either.

Carter Talking

Neil and I think Carter is smart. Actually brilliant! But what parent doesn't think that of their child? So take that for what it's worth. After he started talking he would always ask "Where daddy go?" So I always told him work. So now he thinks everyone who is not in sight, is at work. Except for some reason his Uncle Steve is "gone," and Aunt Catherine is "Asleep." Which if you know Catherine, it is totally fitting. And we did not teach him to say that. He came up with those all by himself and you cannot get him to say anything else about them. Neil and I were trying to think how many words Carter can say without being prompted. And it is well over 50-someday I need to make a list because it keeps getting bigger. He knows words that shock us. As I peeled him an orange today(which is his new obsession) he was starting to melt down because it was taking longer than 3 seconds. I told him to have patience please and he kept jumping around yelling patience. He walked into our bedroom this morning and said "dark, light on." Neil was amazed because we didn't know he knew what dark was.
Carrie this post is semi for you. You will hear Carter saying Chloe and Mitchell's name. Although most of the time he says "Chloe work." All jumbled together. I could barely get him to say their names because he just wanted to keep telling me that they were at work. But if you watch to the very end he says their names quite well.
