We still do not have a baby, and I'm beginning to think that we may never have one. After having regular (and excruciating) contractions on Wednesday for about 12 hours, they stopped as suddenly as they started. So who knows if they will start again or if I will carry this child till his high school graduation. The Dr. said he wouldn't let me be pregnant past June 28th and I almost cried at that date......one week past my due date. And as suddenly as my blood pressure went up 2 weeks ago, today it was better than ever! All these signs of toximia that presented themselves 2 weeks ago have basically disappeared. My body has been doing some crazy things lately. So that is the latest, nothing! I am dilated 2 cm but that could stay the same for a long time. So after reading this blog, do you feel as depressed as I feel? If not, please read again and imagine yourself in my shoes!-or my maternity pants for that matter.
As a side note, my sweet husband surprised me with a generous gift card to the mall, any store that I want. It's to use after I lose the baby weight and get some cute clothes. And the longer this baby takes to get here, the longer I have to wait to use it!

Ok, so I can honestly say I know how you feel..... the last 2 weeks are the hardest- just waiting and wanting the baby out! Hang in there, it will all be over soon. Carther is definitely a Blakeslee- content to stay inside his mommy.... (he'll pay for this later). That's great though, that you're blood pressure is normal and that everything looks good. Better healthy than not. But yes, I feel depressed with you and for you. This flashes me back to the middle of October.... oh, the waiting and frustration. Die....
Neil is the best- no better gift than money for clothes. You'll get to use it in no time. I'll come up and watch Carter for you while you go shopping!!
Can you believe I'm the second one to post a comment? Just remember how long you made me wait for you to arrive. I'm never going to let you forget that. But I've forgiven you. And for everyone's sake--including mine--I hope Carter arrives soon.

Amanda, I am so sorry that Carter is not here yet! I can't say I feel your pain, but I do feel bad for you! However, I do wish I was in maternity pants!! Maybe one day! Good luck with these last few days/weeks!
