Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child

There is a lot of smiling going on these days in the Etherington household.......
That is because my sweet baby now sleeps 8-9 hours at a time during the night! The first night that I woke up around 4 and hadn't heard from him, I panicked. I of course had to go into his room to make sure he was still alive! And he was. He goes to bed between 7-8 pm and wakes up between 4-5 a.m. And then sleeps until well after 8. I love only getting up once a night and sleeping in until 8 o'clock. I am counting down the days until he doesn't wake up at all during the night.

I've heard "fatter" babies sleep better and I'm starting to believe that! Carter has been an excellent sleeper from the day he came home from the hospital.

He can even sleep through softball games in his car seat. But not as well as he does in his crib...

I think he just didn't want to miss the game. Dad's happy he sleeps so well. But not as happy as .....................................................

HIS MOTHER!!!

(Kristen this picture is for you only. You said I need to post more pictures of myself with Carter. From this day on, I will. This is a really old one but it will work for today!)

A sleeping baby really IS something to smile about! Hooray, and lucky you guys! Well, I wouldn't attribute it all to luck- you guys have worked hard with him from the start, putting him to sleep in his own bed from day one and letting him fall asleep with noise, etc. Your hard work has paid off.

And he's getting so big and even cuter (if possible). He's soooo cute. I miss him lots.

Enjoy the sleep! Life doesn't get better than a wonderful, sleeping baby (except maybe enjoying some ice cream while he sleeps. Ok, perfect!)

That is so nice he is sleeping so well for you. It does make such a huge difference as a mom when your baby sleeps longer and through the night. He is built like my Aspen was. Nice and thick! So cute.
