Carter is obsessed with getting down the broom and "sweeping" the floor for me. He has even gotten out the dust pan and attempted to use that as well.

He is so proud of himself. Just imagine if he could really sweep the floor for me.......

He has become obsessed with wearing my shoes as well. It's better when I leave my slip ons out because it's so much easier for him to put these on than my books. He walks around proudly saying "mommy shoes."

Carter recently took up sledding. I love this baby sled because anyone who knows Carter knows he is a timid, scares easily, baby. So this sled is perfect for him. Makes him feel secure and even comes with a seat belt.

Daddy and Carter trying out the real sled.

This picture is kind of funny. I happened to catch the "crash" on camera. Neil's foot accidentally hit the sled and flipped Carter's "Safe" sled. Carter was not hurt but he did not appreciate that. He wanted nothing to do with the sleds after that.

He got to the bottom of the hill saying "All Done, All Done."

These are 2 of Carter's favorite books. He loves the Mercer Mayer "Little Critter" books. He asks to read these about 50 times a day. He recognizes all books by their covers and can even say all their names. Example: Mom Book and Mad Book is what he calls these 2 books. There was a period of time that these books slept with him and Monkey. We have read these books SO MANY times that you can stop in the middle or end of the sentence and Carter will fill in the word. We are amazed that he can do this, but come to think of it, we could recite these books in our sleep, backwards!

I looked for a sled like that one and couldn't find one... I'll have to find out where you found such a treasure! I love that Carter is such a big helper! Keep nurturing that in him, and when he really can help clean it will be better than a maid service. :)
Once you teach Carter to scrub toilets send him to my house:)
ps what was your scuba instructers name again? Hans...? I lost his last name and his number. if you have it would you be a gem and email it to me please?
I almost bought a sled like that. But we've had so little snow at our house this year. It wouldn't do us much good. Maybe next year.
Love the pics, so funny that you caught him falling.
Chloe used to have a bunch of her books memorized about this same age and she could "read" the whole book by memory- all she had to do was see the page. It was so cute. I LOVE the little Critter books and my favorite one is "Just Go To Bed!" (a common phrase in our house.... ha ha).
Oh that crash picture is awesome! I love that he likes to help. Peyton does the same thing, if only they could really do it! He's a smart boy! We love the little critter books as well.
I love little Critter books we have a few at our house as well. And that picture of Carter falling out of the sled is classic.
