Pictures

With both boys' birthdays coming up I decided professional pictures were in order.  I prepped very carefully for this day.  Plenty of naps that day, plenty of food, and plenty of bribes.  And wouldn't you know that both boys starting crying/whining the minute the camera came out?  Carter was his typical "I hate pictures self" but Jackson was a whole new person.  He cried the second I put him down and wanted to be held constantly.  He had big fat tears running down his cheeks almost the entire hour.  How Melissa managed to capture some half smiles I will never know.  Even though Jax isn't giving his biggest smiles, he is still cute.  And Carter managed to throw some smiles in as well.  In between the sobbing of each and every balloon popping in a span of about 7 minutes.

She told him to stand with his hands in his pockets.....

There we go.  Found the right pockets.

Finally a genuine smile.

He is so addicted to this monkey/binkie that it's not even funny.

These are so cute! If you hadn't said so I never would have guessed that your boys were giving you/the photographer a hard time at all! Really love the one with Carter's big smile. Really, I don't know what it is that makes photo shoots so difficult with the kids... but when you have great shots to show for it afterwards it's worth it. :) Well done!

Seriously- if you didn't say, I wouldn't have know either that you'd had such a hard time with the boys. The pictures certainly don't show that there was any sort of struggle. They turned out so darn cute. It doesn't hurt at all that your subjects are adorable. If anything, it will make for a funny story to tell when they're older or something. :)
