After getting out the hospital we only had a few weeks left before school started.
The boys made the most of the days by:
Carter finally got an umbrella and rain boots that he'd been begging for. Thank heavens for grandma who loves to spoil him. Jackson is a little unsure of his big boots but hopefully he will love stomping in puddles.
I introduced finger painting to the boys and they were both a little hesitant about getting dirty but they both learned to love it.
Jackson of course had to sneak a taste. I can't imagine it tasted good but it wasn't the only time he tried to sneak a taste.
August brought lots and lots of corn on the cob. Jackson discovered that he loves it but refused, for some reason to pick it up and eat it.
Finally he figured it out and would devour almost an entire cob by himself.
Carter is no stranger to corn on the cob and would often polish off 2 ears of corn at dinner.
We hit up our second Demolition Derby of the summer, but Jackson's first. He was a little nervous at first but then realized it was everything he could ever hope for. He can't wait for the next one.
This is Jackson's Nervous face.
We are so thankful that Jackson recovered so quickly from his surgery and was able to spend a lot of time playing with us this summer. We spent several Saturdays at the local pool and lots of time together. I'm sad to see summer go but happy to welcome Fall weather!

Love the corn pictures!! Especially the one of Jax going at it no handed. I also love that your boys love the demolition derby. It would be so fun to go to one with them to see their reactions. Cute, cute boys!
