Carter is now 7 months old. I cannot stop the time from moving so fast! But there is one thing that I do not miss......waking up in the night to feed Carter. As of about 3 weeks ago, Carter sleeps (religiously now) from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. I had forgotten what 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep felt like. It only took us 3 nights of "sleep training" to get him to sleep through the night.
He also likes to sleep on his side/tummy now that he can roll. I have had to "rescue" him a couple of times after rolling into the corner and getting stuck. He really needs to learn REVERSE.With trying new things every week we have found out that Carter is allergic to milk....ahh!! I am crossing my fingers that he outgrows this and quickly. This picture is after I gave him 2 small licks of my Creamie. 3 minutes later his face looked like this. He is also allergic to dogs. I hope his allergies stop at these 2 things.
My sister Carrie gave him a talking barnyard for Christmas. We just pulled it out last week for him to play with. We discovered that he is scared/terrified of the "black and white cow that says MOOO, MOOO." He cries the saddest, borderline hysterical cry whenever that cow moos. This is him while listening to that dang cow. He also cries when I vacuum, use the blender or the mixer. He is getting better with all of them though as I try and play/use these items daily so he's not afraid.
Carter rolls like Crazy these days and can scale the room in seconds. He will follow the cat wherever he goes. The cat really doesn't care much for Carter but I think the cat will be Carter's motivation for crawling. The cat manages to stay just barely out of Carter's reach.....but not for long I'm sure.
And lastly, do you think these pajamas are a bit too small? Yes and they have since been retired due to A: being too small, and B: being too feminine(so says neil). But this little plumber's crack was worth putting him in them!

Mom told me about the Creamie incident and I was going to have you email me the pic of his face, but now I've gotten to see it. Poor baby.... I really hope he out grows his allergies too- that would be miserable for all of you. I need a milk allergy to keep me away from ice cream, though.....
That pic of him crying playing with the toy we gave him is almost heart breaking. Maybe he's allergic to milk AND has a personal fobia of cows. He can't be a true Blakeslee if he's afraid of cows!!
And the plumber's bum is hilarious. Have him wear those pj's around town and people will think you are all homeless.... :)
Do you think he's allergic to PICKLES? I hope not!! ha ha
Wow! I can't believe how big he is and how much he can do!! I do love the plumber's crack! I think he has found his calling in life!!
Love the pics...especially the crack! He is so tall (long)! That is so cute that he gets scared from certain sounds. Congrats on a full nights sleep...isn't it sooo nice!
