Christmas was extra special at our house this year as we had Carter to help us celebrate. Neil and I were most excited about watching him open his presents and not ours.
Here is Carter opening his first present. He of course, loved the paper and was impartial about the presents.
Holding his "Baby's First Christmas" stocking. It was filled with lots of books and socks. Boring but practical.
Here is Carter with a bunch of his presents. He got a lot of stuffed animals and sports balls. He loves playing with them all and especially loves the tags on the stuffed animals. I guess I won't be cutting those off! Thanks to all who sent presents and helped make Carter's first Christmas special. 
Lastly, we took Carter to the kiddie pool at our gym and LOVED IT! He loves the bath and so I figured he'd love this and I was right. He was laughing and smiling the whole time. He kept splashing around and didn't even mind when he'd splash himself right in the eye. I'm going to sign up for "Mommy and Me" swimming classes now that I know for sure that he loves it. I'm so excited-Experiencing "firsts" with your baby is priceless. I could have stayed forever and watched him giggle as Neil swirled him around in the water and he splashed and splashed like it was funnest thing in the world!
Maybe he'll be a state champion swimmer like his daddy....although I'm not excited about the prospect of a speedo on him!

Looks like you had a fun Christmas!! Carter is so cute! I just want to cuddle him in those little jammies!! Yay for swimming! I'm glad he likes it! I hope my kids do too!
That first picture of him opening the monkey is hilarious- he looks so surprised!! And the smile on his face with his stocking- it's like he knows what it is. Too funny.
Christmas with kids is so much fun! (And they keep getting more fun, too). I'd rather watch the kids open their gifts then get any myself.
And the look on his face in the pool- he looks so happy! I'm so glad he likes to swim. I hope Mitch likes it just as much. I really need to take him.....

I haven't looked at blogs in a long time. The Christmas pictures are adorable. And swimming, too! That is fun. Makes me anxious for summer when we can get our pool out.
Carter looks so old in his pictures. Like a 1 year old. He's just growing up too fast. Keep blogging so we can see all the fun things you're doing!
