Carter and I enjoy one show together. We both really like Cupcake Wars and watch it together each Sunday morning. Neil was a bit worried about Carter enjoying such a "girlie" show so much, but has since made peace with it.
A few weeks before my birthday Neil and Carter were talking about how to celebrate. Carter's face lit up and he exclaimed that he had a great idea. I was kept in the dark about the big surprise until the big day. But let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Carter thought up this idea all by himself and Neil helped him put all the pieces together. I must say, it was one of the best birthdays ever!
Carter's plan was to have a Cupcake War (obviously!)
The displays both set up in the kitchen.
I was sent to my room while they were setting everything up and then instructed to close my eyes as they brought me out. I was so surprised to see everything they had done and all the time they put in to it.
Carter explained what we were doing and flashed the official Cupcake Wars Logo! Some of my family members were there to help celebrate with us and my mom and sister were made honorary judges, along with me.
Carter went first describing his display and his cupcake flavors and decorations. I wish I had recorded everything he said. He was so serious about it and very cute.
Then Neil took his turn and explained his cupcakes and decorations.
The judges tasted each cupcake and examined the decorations and then made a decision........
And the Winner of Cupcake Wars is.......Carter:) He jumped up and down with joy. Unfortunately the picture is blurry but you can still sense the excitement of his win.
Best Birthday Ever. How will they ever top that for next year? We all enjoyed some cupcakes after the competition and Carter insisted on keeping the decorations around for a couple days.
After the competition we loaded up and went to the Pumpkin Walk. The line to get in almost deterred me. It looked a little bit like the lines at Disney Land, but we chose to stick around and really enjoyed it. Jackson still talks about the pumpkin walk and wants to go back weekly. What a great birthday and what sweet boys I have. I am one lucky girl!

That seriously is the cutest birthday idea I've ever heard. His angry bird decorations were awesome. Props to your boys for their big ideas and hard work. I love the logo sign and that he loves to watch it with you. You are the cupcake queen!
I also love Steve holding up the cupcake sign in the background for your family picture. :)
